Campanile Beaune

I was delighted to revisit this Campanile, as it is without doubt the best I have known. At first sight, the room appears to be “standard” Campanile, but then one notices the extra pillows on a shelf, and the fully tiled walk-in shower. The management had even defied corporate policy and provided a toilet brush! The standard, generous work space had a superior angle-poise lamp, and the bedside lights were bright enough to supplement the rather subdued Campanile oval room light. But it is when visiting the restaurant that the superiority of this Campanile becomes evident. The staff were plentiful, pleasant and knowledgeable. Escargots were offered as a starter, properly presented in their shells, and with the correct implements for removing them – I have never seen these on a Campanile menu anywhere else. The dos de cabillaud was delicious, and finally their “pièce de resistance” – the Crème Brûlée was flambéed at the table. They were also able to offer a brandy with the coffee at the end of the meal. This is a very special Campanile, and I shall visit it whenever I am passing through Beaune.

Great location close to the motorway, next to a filling station and McDonalds. The children were very happy to cool off in the small pool. All staff were very helpful.

Convenient location close to autoroute and short drive to Beaune. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Sevice in restaurant efficient. Room and bedding clean and had kettle. Handy for an overnight stay

Superb location as less than a mile from the A6 and provided an excellent venue for breaking a long drive down to the south. Room was good, great shower with loads of hot water. Very good value for money dinner and service with a smile ( not often guaranteed in France!). The icing on the cake was the fact that my prior notification of needing to eat gluten-free on account of being celiac was taken into account even as far as providing gluten-free bread (rolls) for dinner and for breakfast. The breakfast was very good. A well stocked buffet that even included scrambled eggs and bacon plus, of course, my gluten-free bread. All in all, excellent.

Breakfast was good - there was a nice range of good food. Our room was particularly good because we asked for a ground floor room because of my husband's mobility and we were given the nearest room to the main building and it was a disabled room, with a wet room/walk in shower, which was great.

The staff are all so friendly and helpful. With very little French, we were able to communicate lovely as most spoke very well English anyway. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful. The food was really lovely and tasty. They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy for both dinner and breakfast.

Very comfortable hotel/motel. I liked it extremely that the structure was a combination with all positive aspects of Motel (larger rooms at ground floor with car park right in front of your room door) and Hotel: helpful receptionist, good restaurant, excellent breakfast. Extremely good price/quality ratio.

It is well located, near the motorway not far from the center. Good free parking. The room was clean, confortable bed, nice spacious bathroom. Idéal for a short stay. The personnel was friendly. The restaurant was nice. Food was good, the price was cheap. It has a swimming pool and a nice terasse.

The food in the restaurant was the best we have had at this location in several years. As non french speakers, we felt welcomed and accommodated by the staff in both the reception and the restaurant.
